My Eyeglasses

I didn’t know why. But slowly and slowly, I found another thing was put on my head. So you could guess what it was.

When I was little, I had seen that a lot of people with a pair of glasses before their head. At that moment, I thought they were broad and profound. Thus I admire them very much. I regard them as people full of wisdom. (more…)

In the last few years, wearing glasses has gradually become the most common thing amongst us, and my three other roommates and I, for instance, are just one part of them. But what does a pair of glasses ever bring you? I’m convinced that ‘ a clearer world ‘ will be the top answer. Yet it is not always the case. For me, glasses have given me far more than a mere picturesque scenery, but an impressive progress in the process of my growing up. (more…)

Glasses were meant to be a part of my life the moment I was pulled out from my mama’s womb. Genetically, since my mom and dad are both near-sighted, which is “myopia” in medical term, it seems to be just a matter of time that sooner or later I’ll become a duplicate of them, which sounds pretty pathetic because I used to think that wearing a pair of such stupid-ugly glasses will make me look bookish like a dummy. Anyway, Glasses indeed left me an awful impression in my early ages, only excluding one type, which is often called ‘Sunglasses’ by people! Naughty as I used to be, I often sneaked into my parents’ bedroom, stole the sunglasses of my daddy from the drawer, and put the “huge” cool-black-glass on my own little face, flaunting it to myself in front of the mirror! As most of my peers are, I have been companied by glasses since an early age, maybe 8 years ago, if my mind serves me right.

I was not so upset as my mother had expected when I put on my first prescription glasses. On the contrary, I felt even a little excited then. My world returned clear and my life was refreshed! They did make me look a little ugly, but I guess that’s OK. (more…)

With the heavy burden we had at the high school, most of us must have wear eyeglasses. Frankly speaking, wearing eyeglasses not only means you acquire masses of knowledge, but also seems you look handsome sometimes.

For me, maybe the two reasons above play an important role in my way wearing eyeglasses, but the main reason, perhaps is the decrease of my eye level, I wear my prescription eyeglasses for about four years up to now, and next I will share some experience during my life. (more…)
